A quick Q & A with our Boutique Manager, Alisha.
How long have you worked at the ROWIE Boutique?
I started with the ROWIE team at the beginning of this year and haven’t looked back since!
I have actually come full circle as I worked in store with ROWIE for a short period in 2016 and adore the collections Rowie creates. It was such perfect timing for me to join the team again and witness the incredible growth – I’m so grateful to be a part of the team behind this beautiful brand.
Tell us a bit about your role as Boutique Manager.
I manage the team across both ROWIE Boutiques in Byron and Bangalow.
I see my role as supporting our incredible team and customers, and ensuring that our brands beautiful culture flows smoothly from our Byron Head Office (where the magic is created!) through to each and every customer that visits our stores.
I am lucky to work alongside the most incredible team at Rowie, and am so excited to face my first Christmas season in store surrounded by these babes!
What are your everyday work essentials?
I can’t live without my Selena slides for work at the moment! I have them in noir and wear them all day every day, I love how they style with every piece in my wardrobe, and add a little elevation with the chunky sole. I can’t go past a super comfy sandal spending all day on my feet!
Coming in as a hot second is my morning coffee from Sparrow, can’t thank Rowie enough for ensuring both Boutiques are walking distance from these guys!!!
What is your secret tip when styling an outfit?
I am a huge fan of trans-seasonal items, and rarely purchase an item without knowing it will hold its place in my wardrobe all year round, so I love communicating this with our customers.
I’m really looking forward to layering my Daisy Mini with my Meg roll neck knits in winter, and I’m still rocking my Koa Linen Pants that saw me through winter with my light Ayla Blouses in our hot Byron summer.
Talk us through your favourite pieces from MAYA
My season favourite has to be the Leia Midi – I absolutely love how elegantly this dress sits on the female form, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing many women fall in love with this dress and leave feeling super confident and feminine. I love how Rowie creates such classic pieces, and for me the Leia is timeless.
I have also been surprised by the Tora mini, every season there seems to be a ‘dark horse’ piece that can get overlooked early on, but as we start seeing it on different shapes really takes centre stage, and the Tora has been that piece for me this season. I love it with the sleeve rolled up creating even more definition at the waist!
